Zoe-perry
Perry has the father of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Two of her earliest television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. Because of their fear of stress, the parents did not want to see her pursue acting before she turned 18. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry moved in New York to search for television work landing small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led Perry back home to California where she found acting jobs. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. She performed with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. She played the role of a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong familial connection to the character.
