Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, singer, as well as a writer. She is most famously known by the name of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway shows before going popular in the national theatre scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. In the year 1957, she launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda In God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. In that time, she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. She was able to land her next notable role when CBS appointed her as Ginger Grant. Louise was able to do a fantastic performance juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark as well as contrasting characters from the glamour-doll image she was often portrayed. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. She has also been a renowned director of popular television shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her both her teenage and adult years. Her home was in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
