Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. She is the author of more than twenty albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as alternative rock and folk. However, they also are influenced by jazz hip hop punk, and Funk. The widely regarded feminist icon Grammy winner Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement and is among the pioneers to establish her own label 1990. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship in The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father is from Italian roots. Ani diFranco composed and performed the song 32 Flavors.
