Cecily Legler Strong has been a renowned American performer, comedian and a member of the cast for Saturday Night Live. Her acting career began in the theater but she became attracted to comedy after she took an improv training course when she was nine years old. She had a dream of making acting a living, but soon figured out she was in the right place for comedy and changed her focus towards improvised performances. Her first professional gig was on a cruise ship, singing with the other performers of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong performed at popular events like Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also performed with Virgin Daiquiri - an all-female group - and New York Sketchfest. Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she debuted on "Saturday night Live" its 39th Season as a guest cast member anchoring the Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Cecily's most defining moment on the show was in the episode 'The Girl You'd Rather Not started a conversation with in a Bar'. She first made an appearance as a movie actress in the same film, titled "How to Fund the Uterus".
